Availability of quality planting material is a prerequisite to the success of horticulture development. Unfortunately, the compiled and systematic information is not available for the students as well as amateurs. The monograph is a ready reference for teachers, researchers as well as students of undergraduate programmes and postgraduate beginners in the discipline of horticulture and amateur gardener. Spread over 16 exercises, the monograph covers various topics i.e. nursery concept ,layout ,its component nursery tools, ,mother plants, bud wood plants, mist chamber, artificial propagating structures ,various types of containers, soil sterilization ,handling, lifting ,packing, labeling transportation and marketing of nursery plant, seed germination and viability test, scarification and stratification identification of nucellar seedlings, nursery registers ,use of growth regulators in propagation.
