Аннотация: This book aims to showcase the History and Development that has taken place within the subject of Statistics over a period of time. Its first section timelines the efforts of varied researcher’s (Al-Kindi , Abul Fazal, Fisher, Graunt, Rao, Mahalanobis etc) contribution in its development. It focuses on how the meaning of statistics changing from the Vedic period to modern era with evolution and advancement in technology. Statistics provides tools that one needs in order to react showing intelligence to data one hears or read. In this sense, statistics is most vital thing that one will study. Hence, I am able to say that a student following statistics will have heap of opportunities with bright future. In second section an attempt is made to assess trend in Main Workers, Marginal Workers, Non-Workers and those Marginal Workers, Non-Workers Seeking/Available for work classified by educational level and sex. Also it assesses the impact of various socio-economic - demographic variables on Female Work Participation Rate (FWPR) using Factor Analysis in Maharashtra.
