Community Participation In Tourism Development In Kenya.

      Аннотация: Tourism industry in Kenya is a major economic sector. But like in many other developing countries,the industry is externally controlled and dominated by outsiders. This alienation of local communities has resulted in negative attitude towards tourism and in extension wildlife conservation. Community participation is a central theme in tourism development,it not only offers a mechanism in which communities derive benefits from the industry, but also provides the necessary support which may enhance the sustainability of the tourism industry in destinations.
