      Аннотация: This Scholarly book provides an extensive view of the proliferation of NGOs around the world and their Rehabilitative measures towards the humanity. In the backdrop of earthquake that struck J&K on Oct.8, 2005, the present work “Role of NGOs in Rehabilitation of Earthquake Victims of Uri in J and J" is meant to reflect the working of Governmental Organizations in general and Non-governmental Organizations in particular for rehabilitation of people. This research seeks to unravel social realities of natural and man made disasters with special focus on earthquake in order to explore its socio-economic consequence and efforts made by these organizations at gross roots level to tackle the impact.This book contains 5 chapters covering the entire scope of NGOs and their field work in the socio-economic aspects of life.
