Аннотация: Over the last few years, the arsenic contamination is the major problem worldwide that is responsible for various types of disorders, cancers etc. and another aspect is microbial infection to human. With this hike in medical issues with health, there is a need for developing the herbal drugs that will be helpful, safe and less expensive to humans. Achyranthes aspera (Chirchita) is an important medicinal herb that posses multiple therapeutic properties due to the presence of various phytoconstituents. This study reveals that A. aspera have high therapeutic values and have major scope to develop a new broad spectrum of drug formulation and thus it can be used to improve the health of population that can’t afford the expensive allopathic medicines. This book provides a new approach for developing the novel drugs because this book is fully supplemented with detailed and current review of Achyranthes aspera and arsenic, various methodologies and techniques that were used in conducting experiments.
