Аннотация: The American Production and Inventory Control Society investigated that after the successful introduction of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system a company faces an average of 45% decrease in dispatch delays and 50% decrease in production cycle. Effective access and application of data and information still remains a challenge in most companies. This book therefore assesses how the MHG Mining ERP can improve the mining value chain through remote and real time access to data simply with mobile devices. In conducting the research, data was collected from workers in various mining companies. The analytical method employed was the triangulation of data to ensure the findings made are valid and reliable. The result shows that, MHG Mining ERP has the potential to improve the myriad functions associated with mine operations and other functional areas found in the mining value chain. The ERP as part of its functions convert a typical mobile phone into an autonomous digital data collection device. The findings presented in the book have an implication on the success of operations undertaken by mine managers and supervisors, consultants as well as project management researchers.
