A Study of Man-Woman Relationship in the Novels of W.S. Maugham.

      Аннотация: William Somerset Maugham was an amazing story writer and novelist of his age. He composed more than twenty novels that are the testimonials of his marvelous literary skills. He was also the one of the highest paid English novelist during 1930’s. His novels “OF HUMAN BONDAGE”, “CAKES AND ALE” and “MRS. CRADDOCK” are exceptionally successful creations of his period. In his novels and short stories he probes and analyses man-woman relationship (Marital, extramarital and even illegal) with outstanding rational skills. This book is focused on vari-coloured man-woman relationship (ranging from moral to immoral, immature to matured and from genuine to socially unsanctioned or unaccepted) observed by W.S. Maugham himself with his detached approach that he projected superbly in his fiction. Maugham always looked human relations with skeptic sight. In this book so many novels of Maugham have been analytically studied on the basis of many valid points that reveal the real concept of W.S. Maugham behind the projection of such man-woman relationship in his novels.
