Аннотация: The major objective of this research examines three key concepts: to identify and analyses Gorgora natural and cultural attractions and their problems; to indicate CBET is the possible means of sustainable developmental tool to that environment; and to benefit the local community of Gorgora, which investigation and involvement of multiple stakeholders that explores perspectives from a range of stakeholders; and the use of multiple methods. Both quantitative and qualitative data generated from these techniques are analyzed, and are used to complement each other. The major ecotourism potentials in and around Gorgora include lake Tana, beaches, diverse birds species for bird watching, scenic landscape, wetland plain birds, aquatic and some other mammals, cultural and historical attractions , and some hotels or lodges and their recreational activities such as swimming, boating, fishing etc., in and around Gorgora that contributed to attract eco-tourists or bird watchers to Gorgora. Finally, Developing infrastructures, increasing awareness of the local communities, introducing and promoting community based ecotourism are important strategic directions for Gorgora communities.
