Аннотация: This study focused on: how cultural domains are incarnated in the nurse professoriate's understanding and praxis of instruction, research and community service; identify the factors in the internal and external environments which influence the values of the nurse professoriate; and describe the culture of the nurse professoriate in the colleges of nursing. The narrative interpretive method of research and documentary analysis were utilized. Twenty-six nurse professoriate from both government and private colleges of nursing participated in the study with the aid of a semi-structured interview. The narrative interpretive analysis was used for analyzing the data that was divided into descriptive and interpretive phases. Data revealed the nurse professoriate's different conceptions of what constitutes teaching. Five cultural values: honesty, commitment, competence, compassion/caring were identified by the nurse professoriate. The culture of instruction, research and community service interacts with the four cultural domains which consist of energizing, edifying, preserving and connecting elements.
