      Аннотация: Women play a vital and predominant role in the Modern World. The development of any nation’s civilization is held equally on the shoulders of both men and women. Woman is regarded as the ‘unsung heroine’, who without any glare of publicity contributes to the welfare and progress of the society. “Though women play a key role for the development of the society, they face many hardships for their ‘bread’ and cannot even dream of roses”. They work from ‘dawn to dusk’ but it is unfortunate that even the ignorant men have been enjoying superiority over women which they do not deserve. The task of women and their active participation in social and economic development of the country is indispensable. The subject of Women welfare has been a vital area of study. It is a dynamic subject for a changing society from time to time. The Women welfare programmes require continuous and sustained study.
