Аннотация: This book is all about international tourism in the South Asia. This region is rich in nature and culture; and so can attract many number of visitors. But its share in the world tourism is extremely low. There are many reasons for this. But the most striking reason is that SAARC member states present themselves as substitutes. But in reality they are complementary destinations. Tourism is the most dynamic sector, so to keep the pace with the current trend one has to invest in R&D. But a few research studies have been carried so far. This study focuses on the global demand for the SAARC tourism. It puts emphasis on the regional integration and empirically tries to show that joint efforts to promote the tourism in the region will have a win-win position to all member countries of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). SAARC tourism can learn lesson from the ASEAN tourism.
