Theory-based Career Guidance and Counselling in Primary Schools. The Case of Masvingo Urban in Zimbabwe

      Аннотация: The book is an appraisal of career development at primary school level from the perspective of school counsellors and learners. The advent of globalisation, technological innovations, socio-political turmoil and economic shifts due to mergers and downsizing has placed new demands on workers. Such trends become part of the context in which career guidance , career counselling and career education must function and individual choices made. It was therefore imperative that the authors explore the effectiveness of career development at primary school level. The book also explores the variables which have a bearing on the quality of primary school career guidance and counselling. The book employs the descriptive survey design with self-administered questionnaires and interviews as data gathering instruments. This book is likely to be beneficial to classroom practitioners at various educational tiers. Such potential beneficiaries entail teachers and lecturers as well as college and university students.
