IT - a tool to enhance efficiency.

      Аннотация: Information Technology has helped by not only improving the efficiency of organizational processes, but also the effectiveness and overall strategic management of organizations. Implementation of Information Technology in an organization brings a number of changes in the organization. The research presented in the book aims at studying the influence of Information Technology on the efficiency of the Institutes of Higher Learning. The book will help the educational institutes to understand and adopt better policies and practices while performing their regular duties by getting reliable, accurate and speedy information for decision making with minimum man-hours used with less errors. As a result of financial stringency, coupled with demands for improved efficiency, educational institutes for higher education have been forced to reduce expenditure, seek new sources of funding and improve utilization of existing resources. Effective functioning of institutes of higher learning in the present era is conditioned by an effective and productive use of the existing resources. It has the potential to influence various processes and help the institutes to realize their goals effectively.
