      Аннотация: The book deals with the various aspects of the bronchial asthma both from ayurvedic and modern point of view. The book is enriched not only with the various classical references along with various herbal plants and formulations used for the treatment of bronchial asthma (Tamaka swasa in Ayurveda) but also with modern aspects in detail. Bronchial asthma is a common chronic inflammatory disorders of the airways . According to WHO, 300 million people are suffering from asthma worldwide. There is noticeable increase in health care burden from asthma in several areas of the world. Though synthetic drugs presently used in asthma give instant relief from symptoms but are known to cause various side effects and also their efficacy decreases by their continuous uses. There is need for holistic medicine of traditional indigenous origin which is very effective, non-toxic, affordable and acceptable. The book also focuses on the clinical research done by the author with an herbal formulation which had showed very good results in the management of disease.
