Аннотация: There is no study on the dialectics of developing Diaspora CBOs before this ground breaking work. This book is about dynamics of development, growth, change, and challenges encountered by immigrants’ CBOs. There is no theory on the subject. This is the foundation of scholarly discuss and strategies for developing immigrants as new workforce for the aging workforce of industrialized countries. The text discusses unique challenges faced by immigrants in the U.S. This interdisciplinary work is grounded on societal development theory informed by philosophy, economics, HRD, OD, adult education theories and author’s experience of bridging nomadic and mainstream cultures and mobilizing the social capital of an immigrant community. The book is thus about socioeconomic development of marginalized community transitioning from nomadic life in semi-desert Somalia to the freezing winter of North America. The author is part of displaced nomads with transitioning social capital, as well as a facilitator of the social transformation of this community.
