Аннотация: Food security is a major problem in poor household in developing countries. Farmers who cultivate tobacco worsens household food security when they spend their earnings and labor on Tobacco farming instead of food production. Men, women and children who cultivate Tobacco experience long hours of stood labor, staggering debts, poor health, abject poverty and scarcity of land for subsistence crops, subsequently affecting food security. The text evolves data on tobacco farming, household food security status of tobacco and non Tobacco farmers, socio-economic changes in Tobacco Production on farmers and households and opinions of farmers towards use of alternative crops.
