      Аннотация: The study Valmiki Ramayana (V.R.) reveals management topics which are exactly the same in today’s mgt. science.The genesis of modern mgt. can be vividly found in this ancient epic.The wisdom of ancient Indians is beyond doubts and suspicions, useful and time-tested one. V.R. discusses the Concept of leadership,leaders’ qualities,characteristics, types and behavioral patterns,qualities of ministers, administrators, functions of advisory boards/counselors,stipulates rules for the would be rulers,their competency building, character formation, the concept of interim government,a representative govt.,a trusteeship in administration,objectives of good governance / management, philosophical base for decision making, inclusion of spiritual leaders,sages and philosophers in the assembly, the concept of weak leadership along with various managerial processes such as communication,conflict-resolution,planning, role-personality conflicts,human relations,directing, organizing,concept of self-mgt, time-mgt,staffing,controlling and problem-solving techniques.It also discusses the concept of project mgt.,the concept of an Ideal State—called Rama-Rajya and the concept of value-based leadership.
