      Аннотация: Sweet taste is one of our favourites from the very first minutes of life. We enjoy sweetness from a range of food products mainly through added sugars and sweeteners.However, sweet taste is also one of the most controversial aspects of people’s food habits.No doubt, it is difficult to avoid sugar in diet but reducing the amount and exposure to sugar in diet of humans especially children is an important consideration in preventing caries thus non-cariogenic sweeteners offer good alternative to sugar if used in moderation. These sugar substitutes do not promote caries.
