      Аннотация: Late blight of potato caused by Phytophthora infestans is one of the most serious and destructive disease of potato world over, including India. Management of potato late blight has always been a challenge for both scientists as well as growers. In this book, authors have tried to describe the recent advances in late blight of potato including current status of racial population, mating type, resistance to metalaxyl in isolates of P. infestans, and epidemiology of the disease. This book covers the different aspects of potato late blight management like crop planted at different time, impact of potato-based inter-cropping, new fungicide molecules, suitable scheduling of fungicides and forecasting models for predicting the time of appearance of late blight and optimizing the use of fungicides without risking the crop and human health.
