Screening Methods for Hepatoprotective Agents in Experimental Animals. Care and Cure the Liver

      Аннотация: One of the aims of this book is to delineate the essential information about physiology, pathophysiology and various screening models to evaluate hepatoprotective activity of herbal and synthetic compounds. This book reveals hepatoprotective activity of a self made polyherbal mixture extensively studied in various experimental models. The models employed for the screening in this book resembles the pathogenesis of common liver diseases in humans. The book gives in depth analysis of the hepatoprotective study of the herbal mixture in various liver diseases. Taking into consideration the results obtained in the present investigation, it can be concluded that the said herbal mixture has a definite hepatoprotective activity; hence it could be used in the treatment of liver disorders like liver dysfunction, hepatomegaly, viral hepatitis and various alcoholic liver disorders.
