Nursing Team Dynamics: Communication, Culture, Collaboration. It's Time for a Social Revolution!

      Аннотация: It’s time for a social revolution in the nursing world! Abundant evidence verifies that patients benefit when nurse communication improves. To enable a productive and supportive health workforce for the future, the nursing professions could benefit from collectively examining and unearthing cultural issues and barriers to team work. This applied action research study assessed the experiences of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and key external leaders exploring these health professional’s experiences and drawing from current literature in the field of health care teams, organizational culture, and transformative learning. This book discusses nursing culture through examining many counterproductive behaviors that have limited and negatively impacted nursing careers, patient experiences, and collaborative practice in the past. Perhaps it’s time for nurses to create a social revolution and talk openly about issues impacting teams and nursing careers.
