Аннотация: Wind energy is one of renewable energy that do not release carbon in the atmosphere. Currently the wind energy technologies become common all over the world. Wind is formed due to uneven heating of the surface of the Earth. This phenomenon is common in Ethiopia, because of the altitude difference. The weather in Ethiopia Varies from kola to Dega due to the altitude. That is the main factor for the formation of wind gradient. This study was conducted in the high land (3200masl) followed by Ataye low land to the east. Commonly the wind blows from east to waste. The study area is suitable for the wind farm. The current energy demand and the Government attention to wards renewable energy make the area one of wind project area in the country.
