Gingival Pigmentation and Its Treatment Modalities.

      Аннотация: Every human being would like to be in harmony with the aesthetics i.e. associated with the face and over all body. However, they often neglect the aesthetics of the intra-oral soft tissues. Belong to this issue, the gingival pigmentation pose difficulties in its diagnosis and treatment planning. These pigments sometimes bother the patients as they are mostly present in the aesthetic zone of the mouth which results in social abashment to them. Moreover, gingival pigmentation are associated with trouble some malignancies of the oral cavity, due to their deceiving character these frequently leads to the destruction of both the hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity. A basic understanding is require to study these pigmentations in order to rule out the difference between benign vs malignant pigmentations to prevent their devastating effect. Thus,this book is a sincere attempt to identify the various pigmentations of the oral cavity and their characteristics as well as peculiar treatment alternatives available in the field of periodontology. Also,provide a guide for the dental students to enhance their knowledge in the same field. Additionally,to educate the patient for the same.
