Islamic Arabic Culture in English Language Textbooks. The Involvement of Islamic Arabic Culture Criteria in English Language Textbooks taught in Arab Worlds

      Аннотация: This book tackles the criteria of Islamic Arabic culture criteria that should be involved in the content of the EFL textbooks prescribed for students of the first grade at Al-Azhar secondary institutes. It also pinpoints, to what extent, these criteria are involved into the content of the English Language textbooks prescribed for them, and suggested a framework for the content that should be included in any foreign language textbook prescribed for students at Al-Azhar institutes. The author found that this new field still needs a lot of research so the present book was just a trial to diagnose the defects and submit some proposed remedies for improving the content of the EL textbooks prescribed for Muslim students. The study involved in this book might help educationalists who are interested in teaching EL and authors of EL textbooks recognize the weak and strong points regarding the Islamic Arabic culture in the content of the EL textbooks prescribed for Muslim students. It might participate in providing sufficient information and data about the criteria of the Islamic Arabic culture that should be involved in EFL content.
