Аннотация: This book examines facts and issues Cape Town is dealing with concerning crime prevention affairs. It focuses on Capetonian institutions which are involved in criminal matters and shall provide an overview about their different projects and methods to tackle the situation. It shall discuss how successful crime prevention projects in Cape Town actually are. Based on the previously conducted research, discovery shall be made into which common experiences concerning crime development can be pointed out. And which working methods concerning crime prevention can be seen as promising or which ones should be improved. Living conditions, current developments and individual circumstances in Cape Town are highlighted to get an impression about the background for the subsequent chapters. To complete the research, interviews with eight professionals who are working within the crime prevention sector, are conducted. As per the qualitative research method, the semi-structured-interview approach has been applied. By using the semi-structured interview approach, common experiences of the interviewees can be discovered. In the following chapters, the results of the interviews shall be shortly discussed in context of the previous conducted results of two case studies and the theoretical background.
