Аннотация: One of the purposes of this book is to collate and compare existing data on some traditionally used medicinal plants and their scientifically proven effects. Most rural dwellers and livestock farmers in developing and under-developed countries are peasant farmers with limited income and therefore less likely to afford adequate medical or veterinary care. Thus, these groups of people depend immensely on the nature around them, with little or no attention paid to safety or actual efficacy of the plants. This book will serve to educate and enlighten, regardless of economic class, on the available natural resources which can be explored for the benefit of mankind and his animals from their immediate environment and the recommended administration and safety of these medicinal plants. This book is intended to increase the awareness of the readers to the wealth in the nature surrounding us and the benefits that can be derived from it. Researchers in the science field are meant to benefit from the information in this book with the view of conducting further researches to improve existing knowledge of these medicinal plants.
