      Аннотация: Agriculture occupies a prominent place and plays a crucial role in the economies of developing countries. Agricultural development seems to be far more complex than that of industry. Agricultural credit markets in developing countries are characterized by dichotomy i.e., the co-existence of institutional as well as non-institutional sectors. The cost and availability of credit in these two sectors differs considerably. Small farmers have restricted access to organized sector, who are forced to borrow from non-institutional agencies at sky-high rates of interest. In India, the vital role of agriculture arises out of the position, the agrarian sector occupies in the overall economy of the country. Agriculture is the largest sector of economic activity and has a crucial role to play in the country’s economic development by providing food and raw materials and employment to a very large proportion of population, capital for its own development and surpluses for national economic development.The present book gives full information regarding primary agricultural credit societies in Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh, India.
