      Аннотация: The present anthology is a collection of fourteen research papers. These papers not only focus on the amalgamation of literature and cinema but also make the reader think and understand how these two genres affect each other. Though this blend is not new, the focus on movies (based on plays, poems, and novels) and the debate over the pros and cons of such blend is quite fresh and insightful. The incisive foreword to the book by Mahesh Dattani, famous playwright of Indian English literature, gives a direction to the debate of literature and cinema. Informed by contemporary theories, the book stirs the imagination of researchers for further explorations in this burgeoning area of research.
