Аннотация: Global sea levels have risen significantly through the 20th century. These rises will accelerate through the 21st century and beyond because of Climate change and global warming. Due to the sea level rise, the Indian Ocean Islands in general and the Bay of Bengal in particular are experiencing the largest relative increase and flood risk. The number of people who experience sea level rise are also affected by other factors, such as increasing population within the coastal flood plain. Therefore in this book an attempt has been made to highlight the adverse impact of sea level rise on the people of coastal odisha. Since coastal population are already large and growing rapidly in Odisha, this book is an important one to understand various range of climatic effects including an acceleration in sea level rise.
