Аннотация: E-waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams in the world and Macau, the special administrative region of China, is no exception. E-waste is a crisis not only of quantity but also of toxic components, such as PBDEs, PCBs,PCDD/Fs, and heavy metals. Due to lack of the related laws and treatment facilities, Macau is currently faced with an urgent need to find methods of dealing with e-waste issue. With the help of Questionnaire survey, LCA, and Emergy analysis, this book investiaged the residents' behaviors, attitudes, and willingness to pay for recycling e-waste, evaluate the environmental performance of the current system, implement the feasible recycling technology into the trial project for e-waste, and finally assess the sustainability of the e-waste treatment in Macau. The relevant results could provide decision support to enterprise managers and government sectors, and help them improve the management and treatment of e-waste.
