Effect of Lambdacyhalothrin on Anopheles gambiae and its Vital Enzymes.

      Аннотация: Malaria in Africa remains a very serious health problem. It is particularly dangerous to children and pregnant women and can lead to death. Effective malaria control especially among children often result from environmental improvement such as good sanitation and destruction of mosquito breeding sites while effective use of insecticide will help to reduce the incidence and prevalence of malaria mostly among the predisposing group. This study depicts the potency of insecticide Lambdacyhalothrin-synthetic pyrethroid. Toxicity study on Lambdacyhalothrin which was carried out at Arbo-virus and Vector Research center Enugu,using insectary bred strain of anopheles gambiae and its life cycle stages established it to be very noxious against the malaria vector impacting both contact and systemic effect on them. It also has the capacity to increase enzyme activity as well as being able to inhibit it. This book will be very beneficial to the entire populace as it will help the reader go a long way in getting rid of mosquito thereby reducing their constant bites and chronic problems due to malaria infection.
