Epidemiology of chronic kidney disease of uncertain etiology.

      Аннотация: Chronic Kidney Disease of Uncertain etiology (CKDU) patients were reported in several countries including Nicaragua, El Salvador, Andhra Pradesh in India and some parts of Sri Lanka. The deadly disease is progressively ravaging many poor rural communities in the North Central Region of Sri Lanka. It has resulted in the deaths of a large number of people, variously estimated at between 20 and 22 thousand, over the last 20 years. Many investigations have been launched and studies carried out to identify the causes of this disease, but no definitive answers have yet been found. The book “Epidemiology of chronic kidney disease of uncertain etiology ” provides timely, balanced and controversial information for scientist and Medical professionals on geographical distribution, epidemiology, risk factors and methods of early detection of the disease.
