The Harmonious Mind of the Child reflects a fusion of scientific and artistic discoveries about the childhood mind and how it tends to operate along with evidence about the ways that certain forms of musical composition can positively and dramatically influence the growth of a child’s mind. This childhood music treatise is not intended to be a complete work on the subject, since new insights about musical composition and musical presentation choices are constantly evolving – in concert with similar explosions in our knowledge about the operations of the human brain, including discoveries about enhancing mental functioning and performance. At the same time, I am inviting my readers to critically evaluate some remarkable personal discoveries for themselves.
