Аннотация: The hotel industries provide a variety of services to guests very efficiently, courteously, and accurately. The most common accidents in hotel industries are due to overexertion of work, slip and trips, carrying heavy items, forceful or repetitive activities, and adopting poor postures. These can be linked to occupational health hazards and musculoskeletal disorders. Therefore the present study was undertaken to evaluate the work station and tasks and assess the activities performed by the workers ergonomically and also musculoskeletal pain prevalent among them. The average energy expenditure found for laundering activities (14.40 kJ/min) followed by kitchen (12.59 kJ/min) and housekeeping activities (12.33kj/min).These results indicated that they were doing extremely heavy work and tried to ignore the risks associated with their work station and tasks. Due to these, they face many health problems. The above findings indicated that the workers were doing very hard work but not realizing the risks of occupational health hazards associated with their work station, tasks and tools. Therefore training module was developed to give knowledge about health and safety measures at work.
