Аннотация: This book consists of two of my articles that explore contemporary legal issues in China that are particularly important to foreign companies participating in the Chinese market. The first article discusses domestic westward economic expansion, focusing on foreign participation and examining the effects of expansion on developing areas in Western China and more developed areas in Eastern China. It also explores local regulations that affect foreign investment and local expansion. The second article seeks to educate foreign attorneys practicing business franchise law in China. It then provides the important provisions and an analysis of all of China's national laws pertaining to business franchising. It translates and analyzes local and industry-based regulations. This article also translates and discusses the most current and important business franchise cases from the Supreme People’s Court, Beijing Higher People’s Court, and Shanghai Higher People’s Court. It also offers advice to foreign attorneys and concludes by suggesting specific reforms to current legislation on business franchising in China.
