Adult Literacy Programme and Climate Change.

      Аннотация: This book presents various perspectives on the implementation of adult literacy programme. It shows the extent to which the programme facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and skills as well as the development of new technologies and production skills necessary for mitigation and adaptation to climate change.The book reveals that although there is normally capacity gaps in the programme, this may be corrected by involving external experts to assist in facilitating in areas where the teachers lack necessary capacity. It also shows that adult learners detest theoretical learning strategies as they need functional knowledge and skills for immediate application to solve various problems in their daily lives. The book therefore makes fascinating reading to students and lecturers in adult education.
