Аннотация: Work demands in various occupational settings elicit physical, biomechanical and physiological stress in human body. These often take its toll on workers’ health status. One of such persistent issues is the affliction of work-related musculoskeletal disorders which form part of the important components of occupational hazards world-wide. There is the need therefore for strategic measures that could ensure versatile overall workforce and organizational cost-effectiveness by taking a critical look at requisite elements for optimal job performance and possible incidence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders in the event of mismatches among the elements. The essence of this book is to appraise work demands on human body with a view to demystify measures that will minimize work injuries and disorders. Emphasis is placed on job performance and working environment.
