Аннотация: Obesity and its induced disorders such as hypertension and type 2 diabetes affects millions across the world. We intend to solve this epidemic using IT enabled systems and technologies. Our book deals with the development of an interactive weight loss management program for all those over-weight and obese people who wish to improve their overall health through increased physical activity and proper nutrition. We have designed a web enabled portal called, The Weight Loss Manager that will help patients to guide, motivate, evaluate, and monitor their weight loss. WLM is carefully designed to improve outcomes and enhance therapeutic clinician-patient relationships. It delivers the research proven lifestyle intervention through online tools that create an effective intervention for individuals who are at risk for or currently have health conditions because of their weight. This easy-to-use and engaging program will offer regular lessons with interactive workbooks, email coaching, live chatting and more. The system will feature nutrition; physical activity and weight tracking tools that create lasting behavior change by helping patients overcome barriers.
