Аннотация: The Mahatma of the masses, Gandhi has not only inspired the India’s freedom struggle but also has redefined the boundaries of communication. All through the struggle for independence, Gandhi had left imprints of his vision of communication. May it be spoken or unspoken; his language of communication didn’t always need words to express. As the leader of the freedom movement, as the orator of masses, as the pillar of Satyagraha, Gandhi in all walks of his life portrayed his communication traits visible in each of his actions. Gandhi’s deeds never went unnoticed, for his followers and the multitude media penned his doings to verbal conclusions. Gandhi didn’t have to speak his actions, for the media evolved varied verbal conscience to his non-verbal symbolism. He was a leader who never aspired for the glare of media, but surely used the freedom of press to instigate his campaign of independence with the publicity enough to ignite the spark of freedom struggle in the people. My work is an attempt to put forth mass communication through the lens of the Mahatma’s vision and ideology. Penning in the words of the Mahatma, the work is a mirror to Gandhian Communication.
