Аннотация: The rapid rise of China as a dominant global player in the manufacture of solar photovoltaic (PV) industry has drawn much attention from scholars and policy-makers. However, few studies have been done to examine how the implementation of solar PV policies have affected the pace of domestic deployment of solar PV technology in China. This research aims to fill this gap. The purpose of this research is to understand the effect of PV laws and policies on the deployment of solar PV panels as well as the factors affecting the performance of the laws and policies. The promotion of legislation and policy-orientated strategies are both a vital path for China to catch up with the frontier states in the area of science and technology related industries. Moreover, from the perspective of technological and industrial development trends, the author carried out an analysis of China’s PV industry chain, pointing out that China’s PV industry has the potential to take it one step further in the areas of R&D and the possibility of acquiring breakthroughs in international cooperation.
