Аннотация: Community participation is a massive field of study which has been investigated in many sectors such as health, environment, governance, rural development, and urban revitalization. In recent times studies have revealed the fact that, community participation resulted in many positive outcomes and particularly in addressing environmental problems. Incidents in Ethiopia has exposed that the environment was the first victim of different awful phenomenon happened in different times. Some of these shocking situations include; Clearing forests for agriculture, over-cutting and shaky levels of harvest, over-grazing, repetitive fire and climate change/drought. Therefore in all of these and other harming situations the environment is /was the primary victim. The environment of Abrha -We- Atsbha before the active community based environmental conservation was entirely degraded and lay the lives of the inhabitants of Abrha -We- Atsbha under a question mark. However the environment has been noticeably improved and transformed in to new environmental settings by citing the contribution of the communities as the core factor for the drastic change.
