      Аннотация: This book was written to proffer a solution to the issues of production control strategies in multi-product systems under erratic demand and system variabilities in production systems engineering. It bridges the gap between academia and practitioners adopting lean manufacturing by providing the reader with a clear understanding of the challenges in designing, modelling and quantitative analysis of complex lean manufacturing systems via case studies. It provides operations personnel with a new pull production control strategy with a high level of demand volume and product mix flexibility. The new strategy is suitable for rapid response manufacturing. It offers decision support for production managers to select and implement a suitable control strategy under varying manufacturing conditions.
