Аннотация: Regional integration and energy security are widely discussed areas from the last few decades attaining unprecedented importance in the present global scenario. The growth of regional integration is one of the major developments in the world after the Second World War. In this respect, considering the critical role of energy in modern economies and the pernicious effects of any disruption thereby, it is imperative to ensure energy security for the well being of the people and the economy. The fact is that the world is moving on a totally unsustainable and ultimately unrealistic energy path, because of increasing fossil fuel consumption and demographic explosion. Energy cooperation is a crucial area that needs to be enhanced through regional collaboration. Energy security has become a policy priority for the European Union and its 28 member states. This analysis will help to conglomerate and opens new avenues of new and exciting field of energy security and regional integration across the world. The work is useful for researchers, strategists, policy makers and environmentalists or anyone else interested in energy and climatic affairs.
