Аннотация: The substances which cause pollution are known as pollutants. It may be defined as any substance that is released intentionally or inadvertently by man into the environment in such concentration that may have adverse effect on environmental health. The Indian Environment (Protection) Act (1986) defines 'pollutant' as any solid, liquid or gaseous substance present in such concentration, as may be or tend to be injurious to environment.
