Economic Performance of Andhra Pradesh. Evidence from the Post reform Period

      Аннотация: Despite its high growth rate, low inflation and increasing foreign reserves, it is widely recognised that is India still facing economic problems after implementation of economic reforms. One among the all, regional and inter- regional disparities became matter of concern. It was widely accepted that richer states in India such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, etc. continued to remain rich while poor States like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha remained poor. Andhra Pradesh (A.P) has emerged as one of the faster growing states during the post-reform period and in terms of per capita income improved its position in the post-reform period. It became an attractive destination for capital flows and Hyderabad emerged as a leading IT hub of the country. This book clearly gives the broad view of sectoral performance of A.P and as well as compared to the All India in the post-reform period.
