Essence of Pan-Africanism and the Role ETHIOPIA Played. In the era pre 1974: progress, challenges, and prospects

      Аннотация: Pan-Africanism is a concept that has its roots in the global African diaspora and it has served as a means of collective struggle against white racism, particularly in the Americas and Europe. With the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Organization of African Unity/ African Union the concept is now back on the agenda,the team of the celebration being "Pan-African ism and African Renaissance". The book thus discovers through the role Ethiopia played as the oldest independent African state and unequivocal political capital of Africa with Addis Ababa being the headquarters of various institutional bodies including the African Union. Given the fact that diverging opinions exit on the issue and considering the immense contribution studies make in bridging the gap the study hopes to render new perspectives on the issue. It also explores through the challenges, the progresses made and the future prospects for Africa.
