Logic Made Easy. A Primer on Logic with Gender and Development Context

      Аннотация: The demand for enriched and easy-to-understand coursebooks in Logic that can cater to a broader class of students taking up different academic programs is the main impetus for coming up with this new book. The author underwent thorough deliberations on critical points in his careful selection of the topics, the flow of discussions and the formulation of exercises. Taken into great consideration is also the fact that Logic is broadly offered to a highly heterogeneous class of students, most of whom are not taking up a Philosophy-related program, so that the discussions were indeed simplified, without compromising the fundamental knowledge of Logic that students are entitled to learn, in aid of developing their critical thinking and pertinent skills beneficial to the their practical life affairs. The discussions of the lessons and the exercises in this coursebook are also inspired by subject-matters along social philosophy and contemporary socio-political issues in the Philippines. This is to undermine the overly bland and highly technical treatment of academic discussions in Logic.
