The Vienna Sales Convention and Private International Law.

      Аннотация: In this contribution, the author investigates the relationship between the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG or Vienna Sales Convention) and private international law. Through an in-depth analysis of articles 1,6,7,28 and 95 of the CISG, it is illustrated that a symbiotic relationship exists between the Vienna Sales Convention - a uniform international substantive law convention - and the rules of private international law. Due to its large number of contracting states from jurisdictions representative of all legal traditions, the CISG has been heralded as one of the most successful international conventions in the field of international sales law. An exposition of the CISG's relationship with private international law and domestic sales law is of special relevance for the international business and legal community.
