Аннотация: Morphological studies were conducted on the long bones (Humerus, Radius and ulna and large metacarpal) of 60 clinically healthy animals (30 Bari goats and 30 Dumbi sheep) of both sexes, slaughtered at Tandojam and Tando Allahyar abattoirs. For comparative study animals were divided in three age groups viz., kids/lambs (6-9 months), yearlings (13-21 months) and adult (21-24 months). In view of the findings discussed above it conceivable to conclude that: The long bones of pectoral limb of Dumbi sheep observed to be massive in terms of weight, circumference and breadth of proximal and distal ends than that of Bari goat, when compared among three different age periods. Bari goats possess relatively longer bones in their pectoral limbs except large metacarpal bonethan the Dumbi sheep.Comparative analysis revealed major differences in the morphology of humerus, radius and ulna and large metacarpal bones that could be used as a breakthrough in identification of a particular species. Observations about sex dimorphism revealed males of Bari were greater in height than the Bari doewhereas males of Dumbi sheep were massive and heavier than the ewes.
