      Аннотация: As we all know this is an era of diseases and most of them enters from our daily life style pattern and diet. Global urbanisation, sedentary style of living and consumption of substantial amount of prepackaged foods, fast food, soft drinks etc has produced a marked increase in obesity and its associated metabolic syndrome. Among several complicated diseases, one of the leading ailment is diabetes, a silent killer disease that influences millions of people all over the world. Diabetes is associated with several complications as well such as retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy, vascular diseases which may even lead to early death. The purpose of this book is to provide a detailed review of different aspects of diabetes and also manages to convey the innovations in treatment which took place from conventional approaches to recent advancements.
